Claire Massa is a graduate of the University of Malta, with a Masters degree in Voice Performance.  She has attended master classes all over Europe and is a regular performer in concerts both in her native Malta and beyond.  Her warm vocal timbre enables her to tackle a wide repertoire, from the Baroque to the contemporary, and she is an avid performer of German Lieder and French Song.  She has sung numerous operatic roles, most notably Mercedes in Bizet’s Carmen, and Fenena in Verdi’s Nabucco.  She has also sung the classic concert repertoire such as Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Mozart’s Requiem, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, and many more.  Claire has also three CDs to her credit.  She is currently Head of the Department of Music within the Government Education Department, as well as a teacher in primary schools.  She is also a visiting lecturer in the Music Department within the Faculty of Performing Artsand in the Faculty of Education at the University of Malta.
